Siglinde Harfnerstochter is a late 6th century widow from the city of Metz. Her life revolves around maintaining her household and supporting her children, Gottfried and Astrid.

Siglinde is also a member of the Dark Ages Recreation Company, a Viking Age group made up mostly of SCA members that focuses on education and museum work. She has traveled to l’Anse aux Meadows several times to work as an interpreter at their living history site.
Siglinde joined the SCA back in 1983, and was a founding member of the Canton of Trinovantia Nova. She moved to what was then the Canton of Skraeling Althing in the Barony of Skraeling Althing in 1985, and never left except when posted abroad for work. Living in Brazil for two years sparked her interest in the age of exploration and Portuguese colonial history. Her love of medieval Mayan and Spanish history was sparked while living in El Salvador for three years. Her best SCA achievement during that time was producing the Baronial chronicle every month. She has contributed articles to Tournaments Illuminated and the Compleat Anachronist. Siglinde has been event steward many times, enjoys serving at feast as often as possible, loves to teach (especially at Practicum), and can often be found in the kitchen at events throughout the Barony. Her newest amusements are court heraldry, painting and calligraphy.
